3. Local processing and storage

Fax generally processes imported or scanned documents, recipient data, sender profiles, fax headers, journal entries and transmission, error and cancellation reports on the device. FRITZ!Box credentials are stored in the iOS Keychain. SCHWENKE SYSTEMS cannot access this content.

Local app data remains until it is deleted in the app, via iOS file management or by uninstalling the app. Files in an export folder or FRITZ!NAS folder selected by the user are subject to that location’s deletion options.

4. Connection to the FRITZ!Box and fax transmission

The app communicates on the local network with a compatible FRITZ!Box configured by the user. Fax jobs are carried out through its integrated fax function and the existing telecommunications connection. For fax reception, a FRITZ!NAS fax folder selected by the user may be read.

Processing is required to perform the app function requested by the user. The terms and privacy information of the respective providers also apply to the router, telecommunications connection and recipient. Fax is an independent product and is not affiliated with FRITZ! GmbH.

5. Device permissions

• Local network: connection to the FRITZ!Box.
• Camera: only when using the document scanner.
• Contacts: only for the optional selection of a fax recipient.
• Files/photos: only for selecting or saving documents requested by the user.

Permissions can be managed in iOS Settings. This content is not transmitted to SCHWENKE SYSTEMS.

6. Apple App Store

Download, updates and licensing are handled through the Apple App Store. Apple independently processes account, device, download, payment and transaction data in particular. SCHWENKE SYSTEMS does not receive complete payment data.

7. No analytics or advertising services

For the version covered by this policy, Fax contains no advertising networks, analytics tools or tracking SDKs. The privacy label published in the App Store states “Data Not Collected”.

8. Your rights

Subject to the statutory requirements, you may have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability and objection, as well as the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. Because SCHWENKE SYSTEMS does not collect app usage data on its own systems, there is generally no personal app data record that can be assigned or provided. 9. Changes

This policy will be updated if functions, services used or legal requirements change. The current version is available at www.schwenke.eu/en/privacy/fax/.
